About

Hello!

My name is Lucy (she/her) and I am a Person-Centred Counsellor. My approach to counselling is to work with each of my clients with genuine curiosity and have an interest in their unique journey. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than leaving them feeling heard, validated and empowered to take on life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

I am a LGBTQ+ friendly and neurodivergent affirming practitioner and encourage conversations on how I can make the counselling space work for you.

When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.
— Alexander Den Heijer

I offer a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space to bring your whole self to. I understand that every person's experience is unique, and I work hard to create a safe and welcoming space where my clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of being judged or misunderstood.

Having been a client myself, I know that coming to counselling can be daunting for some people, and I do my best to put my clients at ease. I am happy to address any questions or concerns you may have so you can get the most out of the counselling space.

Whether you're struggling with a specific issue or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges, I'm here to help and work with you to develop a plan that meets your unique needs and goals. Together, we'll explore your inner world, identify your strengths and challenges, and move towards a more fulfilling and authentic way of being.

Experience

My previous career in healthcare roles and working in HR within the financial sector for nearly 10 years has provided me with a strong foundation in communication and empathy and an understanding of the pressures that people can face in these areas.

My journey to making counselling my career certainly was not linear (like most people’s careers!) but now after gaining my Masters Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy, I am thoroughly enjoying my role as a person-centered counsellor through my private practice.
